Taking the SAT/ACT Multiple times

I found this article about taking the SAT and ACT more than once. I always tell my students that they should take the SAT and the ACT at least TWICE. The data says that students who take the SAT and the ACT a second time will most likely see their score increase. For the SAT, approximately 75% of students see an increase the second time they take the test. In fact, about 50% of students see an increase the third time they take the test. So, it makes sense to take the test at least twice. Some students may decide that their first score is sufficient, so they decide not to take the test again, but most students should take the SAT at least twice. The key is to practice after you take the first SAT! The college board provides some excellent feedback when they send the scores to the students. Find your weakest areas and practice!
