Effects of Cuts to Education

There has been a lot of talk recently about federal funding for education. I found this article on Yahoo, reposted from The Atlantic, about funding. I found it significant that cuts have affected teacher salary, like the bonus money in Oregon, and teacher training, like the one mentioned in California. It is also important to note that while some funds from the federal government were withheld initially, some of those funds have been released to the states. Time will tell how these cuts affect students and whether more fund will be provided or continue to be withheld. States need to plan accordingly.
